Applications for Master Membership (MSA) are accepted once per year, in October.
Notice of the application period will be posted here, on the ISSA Facebook page, and sent via email (to current ISSA members). There will be a link to the application on this page.
Master Membership (MSA) is open to current Active or Signature members showing advanced scratchboard skills, dedication to the promotion of scratchboard, and additional qualifications (see below). Master members may submit entries to all ISSA shows and may use the initials MSA after their name. They will also have increased promotion on the ISSA web site, including artwork in the ISSA online gallery.
Members must have distinguished themselves and the quality of their work through four or more of the following methods:
– Museum, National, and/or International exhibition history
– National or International awards
– Solo exhibitions/shows
– Gallery representation
– Teaching workshops or giving demonstrations
– Publication in a recognized industry magazine/book
– Other activities that show a member’s dedication to promotion of the medium
To apply for Master membership, individuals must submit: a $50 jury fee, the Master Membership Application Form, and a portfolio of ten (10) images that represent your best scratchboard work. The jury process is completed by designated Master members. If approved for Master membership, members have 30 days to pay their dues. If you have applied for this level previously and wish to do so again, you are asked to supply ten (10) images; four (4) of which can be ones you previously submitted.
